So I love tabletop RPGs. And I love drinking. So I thought, why don’t I combine those two things? Another local game designer, the infamous Robert Schwalb of Shadow of the Demon Lord, is local to Nashville with me. So we asked ourselves, “why don’t we take over a bar and play some tabletop games?”
And so Drink and Dungeon was born.
We had our first event last Friday at the Block in Murfreesboro, TN. We started at 9pm, got the movies going (first movie was Dragonslayer), had our tables set up and the adventures started. THe Block had a custom menu for the night, with themed food for the event.
Everywhere you looked, tables were full of people playing games. The SagaBorn demo was a lot of fun, and as usual the elfling party member caused the most chaos.
We had about 40 people show up, which is quite successful considering it was the first time we had run an event like this. We plan on continuing to run these events, with the Block wanting us back, and possible new locations such as Game Cave Hermitage.
